JSL’s Wellness Centers, located in Hechtman II and Meer Apartments in West Bloomfield and Teitel and Prentis Apartments in Oak Park, are equipped with state-of-the-art, senior-friendly fitness machines. We offer a variety of classes, including balance exercises, walking groups, yoga, tai chi, qigong, meditation, and more, all designed to enhance residents’ physical and mental well-being. Participating in these programs improves health and provides valuable socialization opportunities, fostering a sense of community among residents.
JSL’s Jcare program is a fee-based service exclusively for residents, offering assistance with daily living tasks to help them maintain independence within their JSL community homes. Services include homemaker tasks like light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, laundry, and pet care; personal care such as bathing assistance, medication help, and mobility support; and companion services including friendly conversation, recreational activities, and respite care. Delivered by compassionate, trained staff, Jcare ensures residents can age in place safely and comfortably.
JSL’s dining program offers residents a warm, restaurant-style experience across all communities, featuring nutritious, kosher meals prepared daily on-site. With input from an on-site registered dietitian, menus are crafted to ensure nutritional balance and accommodate individual dietary needs.
