In the June 19th Detroit Jewish News, JSL’s Live & Learn Community Project was featured, as the program was honored by LeadingAge Michigan with the Leading-Edge Care & Services Award at the 2025 Member Awards Gala.
The Leading-Edge Care & Services Award recognizes a member organization for programs and services that are models of innovation and excellence that have contributed significantly to quality of life or have greatly improved organizational operations.
The first of its kind, a vibrant Live and Learn model was designed to foster social connection and wellness, spark intellectual stimulation and discourse, and enrich the lives of residents. JSL’s Live and Learn courses and seminars take place at Meer Apartments, in partnership with an extensive network of local, regional and national educational and cultural institutions, authors and authorities, to create a range of engaging programs offered by experts in their fields.
