The Patio and Gardens at Meer

Sunlight, fresh air, the smell of flowers and trees – nature is rejuvenating, invigorating, refreshing. Join us as we transform our courtyard into a beautiful outdoor space that allows our community to enjoy the scenic grounds at the Meer Apartments.

Located outside the Krolik Café and Fortgang Union, the new space will feature an expanded landscaped patio with seating and umbrella tables for dining, outdoor concerts and family visits.

A path lined with benches will lead to a fountain to soak up the meditative, comforting sound of falling water… a place to walk and sit surrounded by mature shade trees.

The garden will have a large pergola for reading and socialization, which will serve as a sukkah in autumn. For those who want to interact with nature more actively, raised garden beds will allow residents to plant flowers and vegetables and reap the benefits of their labors.

In addition to being a delight to the senses, a growing body of research suggests that having nature and outdoors available and accessible promotes health and an improved sense of well-being.
